Lobster shell waste, that would normally be thrown away, or tossed into landfills, is locally sourced, and brought in by the truck load to our production facility up in Marion Maine. It is blended into high quality, clean wood fiber, blueberry brush, and culled blueberries from local Maine blueberry harvesters. It is moved and formed into a windrow, where the composting process begins! It takes another 4-6 months of testing, turning, aerating, and temperature checking, before it is ready to bag.
